Twin Lotus Center HerStory
Antara Davis and I sat in Sacred Circle together many times since we founded Sisters of the Sacred Circle in 1989. From the beginning we had a shared vision of opening a healing center. After 30+ years in the Santa Cruz legal community, I retired as a paralegal to pursue our calling. We had been educating ourselves and acquiring life and healing skills. Now we were ready to devote ourselves to sharing what we learned.
We opened Twin Lotus Center in 2010 in a transformed outbuilding on Antara's property in Santa Cruz that we christened The Lotus Temple. We offered meditation, vibrational healing and wisdom teachings. TLC became a beacon to the women we served and our clientele increased every year. When we outgrew The Lotus Temple, Brian (Antara's husband) built us a larger venue, The Crystal Room, for our larger gatherings. Click here to be connected to Twin Lotus Center photos.
Meditations
I led a weekly meditation group for five years we called Outstanding Morning Meditations (affectionately known as OMM). The OMMers tapped into the deepest part of ourselves and received profound visions as we sat together (see testimonials here). Amazing transformations occurred and deep bonds were created between the meditators.
We practiced a variety of techniques and then settled on a pattern of guided relaxation, Shamanic journeying, time to record our experienced and then share if desired. Themes included Angels, Chakras, Crystals, Elements, Gemstones, Goddesses, Mudras, Mantras, Power Animals and the Violet Flame. |

Wisdom Teachings
Some of the teachings we shared in the TLC Wisdom School included Crystal Healing, Creating Sacred Space, Dreaming, the Fairies Series (Fairies 101, Fairy Painting, Fairy Wing Making and Fairy Wand Making culminating in the Feast of the Fairies), Pendulums (crafting & how to use them), Prana Vidya Basics (a breathing practice) , Rattle Making (and how to use them), Sacred Handwriting and TriYoga Basics. The Davises’ lives changed when their first grandchild was born in 2015. As Antara became Donny's part-time caretaker, the family wanted and needed more privacy and time to spend with him. The Davises were host and hostess to Twin Lotus Center in their home, so after five years our "cottage business" was closed to make room for this child to bless their lives.
I continued OMM at Merritt's Temple House and at my Apple Lane home until my husband retired in 2017. A few months later, he and I moved to Edgewood Forest, just north of Mt. Shasta, California.
