Celebrating the balance of water

The celebration of Fall was held in the Fairy Glen at the Sacramento Headwaters in Mt. Shasta City Park.  I didn't even know it was here!  Five women from the East Coast Circle of the Dawn joined us as Peace Pipe Carriers and shared their sacred pipes with us.   Seven sisters from Japan came to sit in circle with us and shared a Dance to Honor the Water as well as a couple of beautiful songs.
The Circle was led by High Priestess of the Mt. Shasta Goddess Temple, Yeshe Matthews.  Indigo and Lotus from Sisters of the Sacred Mountain cast the circle.  Graell Corsini from the Ashland Goddess Temple called in the ancestors.  Yeshe did a beautiful rendition of the Call of the Star Goddess.

After learning about the significance of the Sacred Pipes from Michelle of the Circle of Dawn, we each were able to experience sending our prayers to the heavens through the smoke.

Yeshe also led a water ceremony and we each enjoyed sharing water from the Crystalline Matrix.  We also offered our prayers to the water.

The Circle was closed with a song (Merry Meet and Merry Part) and a promise to reconvene for Winter Solstice.

WHAT A BLESSING!

A PEACE-FULL LAMMAS

Indigo and I met at The Gateway Peace Garden at the base of Mt. Shasta to celebrate Lammas together.  I had never been there or seen any pictures of it.  What an absolute treat!

Obviously, an act of love by the owners of the property.  Amazing the amount of care and love that has been spent on this sacred place.  And all open to the public at no charge.  A very Sacred Place.

SUMMER SOLSTICE IN MT. SHASTA

Yeshe Matthews, Priestess of Mt. Shasta Goddess Temple, and owner of The Sacred Well in Dunsmuir, organized an event titled Women in White Walk for Peace.  We met at the plaza in town and walked together down North Mt. Shasta Boulevard to the City Park where the Sacramento River Headwaters spring up.

Our presiding priestess Yeshe led a ritual where we each dipped our vessels in the water and filled them with the clear liquid.  We sang mantras to bless the water before pouring it back to spread our blessings all the way down the river to the Ocean Mother.

Afterwards, we shared food and divination cards before walking back to the plaza.

It was really great for me to meet these lovely ladies.  I had met Yeshe once with Indigo when we visited with her at the local meeting place, The Chai Shop.
I was acquainted with Jessica B. through The Web, so it was nice to meet her in person.  She had her niece with her from Sacramento.

The other two ladies were friends of Yeshe's from out of town.  I have a feeling they will be back to celebrate various holy days with us in the  future.

I'm starting out on Spring Equinox with my new website, www.laurielotus.com!

What a milestone!  We have been here in Weed almost six months!  My head was spinning so much from all the changes that I got vertigo!  It's mostly gone now with only a few episodes.

I believe if you click on RSS Feed you will get notified when I post something new.  Not sure how that works!  As soon as I get a chance, I plan to research it so I can tell you.  If any of my readers out their know how to use it, please let me know.
